SLIP39 Shamir Backup recovery
Your Shamir shares won’t combine, a word looks wrong, or the passphrase is gone? If you hold enough shares to meet the threshold, we can usually get you back in.
How SLIP39 recovery works
SLIP39 splits your secret into shares with a threshold — say any 2 of 3. If you hold the threshold, we fix what is broken: a mistyped word, mismatched group, or a forgotten passphrase on the reconstructed seed. If you are below threshold, no one can help — and we will tell you honestly.
Fix mistyped shares
The SLIP39 wordlist has built-in error detection, so a single wrong or misremembered word is often correctable. We validate each share’s checksum and reconstruct the intended words.
Resolve non-combining sets
Shares from different groups, a wrong member threshold, or mixed-up backups can stop a valid set from combining. We map the group/member structure and find the working combination.
The threshold is math, not policy
Below the threshold, Shamir is information-theoretically secure — the secret genuinely is not present, and no service can recover it. We never pretend otherwise or take a hopeless case.
From first message to recovered funds
Tell us what you have
Your situation, the device or files, roughly when the wallet was made, and anything you remember. No payment to assess.
Free assessment within 24 hours
We tell you honestly whether it is recoverable and what it will take. If it is hopeless, we say so plainly.
Sign the agreement
A service contract under Swiss law protects both sides before any data changes hands. We never ask for upfront payment.
We run the recovery
Work happens in-house on offline, forensic hardware. On success you regain access and pay only the success fee.
Avoiding impersonators
We only use keychainx@protonmail.com and Telegram @keychainx. We never DM first on Facebook, Instagram, X or WhatsApp, never guarantee 100% success, and never ask for upfront payment or an “unlock fee”. Anyone doing so is impersonating us.
SLIP39 Shamir recovery questions
I only have some of my SLIP39 shares. Can you recover the wallet?
Only if the shares you hold meet the threshold. SLIP39 is designed so that below the threshold the secret is mathematically absent — not hidden, absent — so no one, including us, can reconstruct it. If you meet the threshold but it still will not combine, that we can very often fix.
One of my share words looks wrong or I can’t read it. Is that recoverable?
Usually, yes. The SLIP39 wordlist includes error-detection, so a single mistyped, smudged or misremembered word can often be corrected from the surrounding share. Send us what you have and we will validate it.
I have the shares but forgot the passphrase (hidden wallet). Can you help?
Yes. Once we reconstruct the secret from your shares, a lost passphrase becomes a search problem: from your hints we test candidates against a known receiving address, the same way we do for other passphrase cases.
What does it cost?
Success-based — a percentage of what we recover, and nothing if we cannot get you back in. We assess honestly first, and decline cases that are below threshold.
Shamir shares that won’t combine?
Tell us how many shares you hold and what’s going wrong. You get an honest assessment within 24 hours, and pay only if we succeed.
