Recover crypto from a broken phone
The seed only lived in an app on a phone that now won’t turn on? We repair or extract the device, pull the encrypted wallet vault, and decrypt it.
How broken-phone recovery works
The goal is the app’s encrypted vault, not the whole phone. We get the device readable again or extract its storage directly, locate the wallet app’s data, and decrypt the vault with your app password or PIN.
Get the data readable
Water and impact damage often kill the screen or power, not the storage. Board-level repair or direct storage extraction gets us to the data without needing the phone fully working.
Pull the wallet vault
MetaMask, Trust Wallet and similar store an encrypted vault in app data. We extract that blob — the byte-array keystore — even when the app itself will not launch.
Where it hits a wall
Keys sealed in the Secure Enclave (iOS) or StrongBox (Android) can be extraction-proof by design, and a genuine factory reset wipes app data. We tell you which case you are in before quoting.
From first message to recovered funds
Tell us what you have
Your situation, the device or files, roughly when the wallet was made, and anything you remember. No payment to assess.
Free assessment within 24 hours
We tell you honestly whether it is recoverable and what it will take. If it is hopeless, we say so plainly.
Sign the agreement
A service contract under Swiss law protects both sides before any data changes hands. We never ask for upfront payment.
We run the recovery
Work happens in-house on offline, forensic hardware. On success you regain access and pay only the success fee.
Avoiding impersonators
We only use keychainx@protonmail.com and Telegram @keychainx. We never DM first on Facebook, Instagram, X or WhatsApp, never guarantee 100% success, and never ask for upfront payment or an “unlock fee”. Anyone doing so is impersonating us.
Broken phone recovery questions
My phone is dead / water-damaged. Can the wallet still be recovered?
Frequently yes. If the storage chip survived, we can often revive the board or extract the data directly and pull the wallet app’s encrypted vault. Tell us the phone model, the damage, and which wallet app you used.
I remember my wallet password but the phone is broken — does that help?
That is the ideal case. The app vault is encrypted with your password or PIN, so once we extract the vault your password decrypts it. Without the password we would have to attempt recovery on the vault itself, which is far harder.
The phone was factory reset. Is there any hope?
It depends. A reset generally wipes app data, so if the seed only existed inside the app the odds are poor and we will say so. If the phone also had a seed backup, screenshot or cloud app-backup, that becomes the better path.
What does it cost?
Recovery is success-based — a percentage of what we recover, nothing if we fail. Any board-repair or parts costs are agreed with you separately and up front.
Coins locked in a phone that died?
Send us the model, the damage and the wallet app. You get an honest assessment within 24 hours and pay the recovery fee only on success.
