KeychainX FAQ
How long will it take to retrieve my password?
The amount of time it takes to decrypt your password strongly depends on the quality of the hints you provide us. Given our prior experiences, the least amount of time spent to decrypt a password has been 10 minutes and the longest has been 4+ years. This is only an indicative time frame, contact us so that we can discuss more precisely. If you don’t have any guesses for your password then it’s much harder than if you have at least some idea of the password that encrypted your wallet.
Is a minimum wallet balance required to access your services?
Regardless of your wallet balance we will be happy to help you recover your lost Bitcoin or Ethereum coins. Although we are very busy and might prioritize wallets with a significant value first, we try to help every request.
Is this service secure?
Everything takes place in highly secure in-house server location, we don’t use cloud services like AWS Cloud or Google. All servers are owned by us and accessed locally with 24/7 monitoring.
Will I lose my files/data?
No, you won’t lose any of your files/data. We keep a copy stored in 24hr monitored space. Before working on any hardware device or laptop we make sure to make a copy and never touch the original files.
Do you offer a contract?
Yes, we offer a Swiss company contract prepared by our law firm MME. MME is one of the most experienced crypto law firms in Zurich, Switzerland.
How long shall I expect to hear back from you?
We will contact you back within 24 hours of your first email. Just be sure to check your Spam folder, in case our email ends up in there. If we don’t reply send us a new message. If you use telegram you can reach us at @keychainx
Contact us: mail@keychainx.io if you need help
Never reply to other mail or Whatsapp messages from people claiming being from KeychainX and asking funds upfront. You will be scammed. We don’t use Facebook or Whatsapp and never ask for payment upfront.
Where are you based?
We have a physical office in Baar, Switzerland. But due to security we do not meet people there, instead if you insist on meeting us IRL it’s done at our law firm MME in Zurich, Switzerland.
Do you take meetings?
We strongly advise all contacts to be made through mail or telegram. But in rare cases we agree to meet at our law firm in Zurich or Zug in Switzerland. 99% of our cases are handled through email.
Is KeychainX a registered company?
KeychainX began recovery work in 2017, was incorporated as KeychainX LLC in Delaware in 2018, and moved to Switzerland in 2021. Today the company is registered as KEYCHAINX AG in the commercial register of the Canton of Zug, entered on 8 October 2021, with UID CHE-420.310.730 and register number CH-170.3.046.341-8, and a fully paid share capital of CHF 100,000. Our office is at Dorfstrasse 38, 6340 Baar. You can search either number in the Swiss commercial register to confirm the company is registered and active.
Can we meet in person or speak by video call?
Yes to both. We offer video calls worldwide, at no cost and with no obligation, before you commit to anything. In-person meetings can be arranged by appointment at the Zurich offices of MME, our legal counsel. We meet there rather than at our own premises for security reasons: the location where client data and recovery hardware are held is not open to visitors. We also attend Bitcoin conferences regularly in Las Vegas, Prague, London, Hong Kong and Japan, and can arrange to meet you at one of those instead.
How much does recovery cost?
Our fee is 20% of the recovered value, payable only if we succeed in opening your wallet. There is no upfront payment, and assessing your case is free. The fee is taken from the funds we recover for you, never from money you send us in advance. Since 2017 we have served over 1,000 clients with a success rate of approximately 79%.
How do I know KeychainX is not a scam?
Check the company registration above, ask for a video call, ask to meet in person, and read the contract before agreeing to anything. Note also what we never do: we never contact you first on email, Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook or social media; we never ask for payment upfront; we never ask for your full seed phrase or private key; we never guarantee recovery; and we do not attempt to recover stolen cryptocurrency, because blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. Any service that fails one of those tests should be avoided.
